The Friends of the Lake Bluff Park District Foundation (FLBPDF) was formed in November 2005 as part of a long-term strategy to ensure funding for capital projects and improvements of the Lake Bluff Park District. It was the vision of the Park District Board to create a citizen-based not-for-profit foundation as a permanent means of raising money. As public funding decreased and operating expenses continue to increase, the need for a fundraising group for the Park District became more and more apparent. The FLBPDF is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit entity, thus enabling corporations and individuals alike the opportunity to make a tax deductible donation towards the annual upgrades and improvements throughout the Park District's facilities and parks.
The foundation is comprised of an eleven (11) member Board of Trustees: Peter Arnstein, President Jim Salanty, Vice President Alan Sidman, Treasurer Amy Halstead, Secretary Jack Sheppard Jim Johnstone Jennifer Beeler Doug Warren
Mission Statement The mission of the Friends of the Lake Bluff Park District Foundation (FLBPDF) is to provide additional revenue streams through community fund raising, endowments and corporate sponsorships to benefit the overall financial well-being of the LBPD. The FLBPDF exists to ensure that long-term funding will meet the growing needs of the Lake Bluff Park District community.
